“The snap of a few sparks, a quick whiff of ozone, and the lamp blazed forth in unparalleled glory.”
It’s a major award and one hell of an awesome Halloween costume!
When he was nine-years-old Josh Sundquist lost his left leg to cancer, but he clearly didn’t lose his sense of humour. Josh dressed up his lower half as the sexy Leg Lamp from the classic holiday movie A Christmas Story. The lampshade even lights up.
“Oh, look at that! Will you look at that? Isn’t that glorious? It’s… it’s… it’s indescribably beautiful! It reminds me of the Fourth of July!”
I’m not a huge fan of candy corn, but kudos to whichever crazy bastard decided to do this :)
In case you’ve wondered about the part of my brain that writes the terrible stuff that I sometimes write, please note the below. This is my favorite family photo, in my favorite frame. Me and brother-in-law, circa 1982.
You see me in my little nurse’s outfit? My mom made that for me, and she bought me the frame. You see now how I never really had a chance to be normal? :)
A couple of new people have popped up on Snake Pit this week because they were looking for something scary. So I figured I’d put up a little list if anybody else out there is looking for Halloween type fics/chapters to read/reread. This what you can dig out :)
Everything Old Is New Again
Falling in Love with a Girl (Chapters 111 & 112)
My Friend the Doctor (get to see Reid dressed up ridiculously)
Everything Happens for a Reason (in progress)
The Tipping Point
“Crap, What the Hell Is This, Fare”
The Snake Pit
A Pound of Flesh (in progress)
And I’m working on two new Halloween stories that I’d like to get up for by the 31st, but I so rarely hit the holiday on the mark I figured I’d flag the list now in case anybody’s interested.
